Real Estate in Mexico has evolved tremendously in the last 5 years. Major U.S. companies are offering traditional financing on resort properties and second homes. Major U.S. title companies are offering title insurance to protect investments. There are legal ways for Americans to own property within the restricted zone (60 miles from the border)without a Mexican partner. American companies are taking direct title to factories within Mexico for labor advantages while maintaining North American manufacturing content to avoid tarriffs.

NAFTA rules have allowed Mexico and the United States to grow together. The wildlife of Mexico is incredible and the Mexican government allows liberal harvest quotas. Many Americans are going to Mexico to purchase ranches because it has become so expensive in the United States. It is almost impossible to purchase land in Texas and cover the note and taxes by raising cattle or cash crops. People are getting a real financial return in Mexico with agriculture that is not possible in the U.S. anymore. The price of ranchland in Mexico is climbing also with all the demand from U.S. and Mexican investors.
